Welcome

Welcome to St Michael's CE Primary School

Mr Stuart Bevan, Headteacher

At St Michael’s, we are incredibly proud of our school community and our place within The Keys Academy Trust. We are a school where children rise to challenges, embrace learning and strive to be the very best they can be. Visitors frequently comment on the buzz of learning that fills our classrooms, where ambition knows no limits and every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

We are passionate about fostering resilient, ambitious learners who are nurtured and supported throughout their educational journey. Our commitment extends beyond academic success—we equip children with the skills, confidence, and character they need for the next stage of their learning and for life beyond the classroom. Our school's vision and values—Community, Courage, Compassion, and Creativity—are at the heart of everything we do, shaping a culture of trust, support and high aspirations - enabling every child to shine!

We are fortunate to have a dedicated, skilled, and caring team of staff who inspire and challenge every child, ensuring that they achieve more than they ever thought possible. We celebrate every child’s strengths while providing the guidance and encouragement needed to overcome challenges. We do not place limits on potential—every child is capable of great things, and we are here to help them succeed academically, socially and personally.

At St Michael’s, education extends beyond the classroom. Our broad, balanced, and creative curriculum, combined with a rich programme of extracurricular opportunities, ensures that every child can discover and develop their unique talents. We believe in sparking curiosity, building confidence and fostering a lifelong love of learning, all within an environment where children feel safe, valued and excited to explore new possibilities.

As the oldest school in Sandhurst, St Michael’s has a rich history and a deep connection to our local community. Our traditional Victorian building, adapted to meet the needs of modern education, provides a welcoming and inspiring setting for learning. With one class per year group (30 in the Infants and up to 32 in the Juniors), we offer a close-knit, nurturing environment where every child is known and valued. Our outdoor spaces, including nearby woods, a lake and our school field, provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning, sport and exploration.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our school, our values, and the exciting opportunities we offer. If you would like to experience St Michael’s in person, we warmly welcome you to book a tour, where our children will be delighted to show you around and share their experiences.

It is a privilege to serve the community of Sandhurst and beyond. Together, we will continue to inspire, challenge and support every child, ensuring they receive the very best possible start in life.
